minor eye condition service (mecs)

what is the purpose of the Minor Eye Condition Service (MECS)?

Typically if you have a specific eye issue such as a red eye or sudden loss in vision in one eye you would be forced in two directions:

1) Eye Casualty - this could mean waiting for many hours at the hospital before being seen

2) Waiting for the next available eye appointment/GP appointment - this could usually be a few weeks by which time you may have allowed a condition to progressively worsen.

Not at Sage Opticians.

We are the proud supplier of MECS within Sudbury. This free to use service means we are able to see and treat patients (if applicable) on site with specially allocated slots in the diary kept free for such patients.
